Why mineral protection matters
We chose mineral sun protection because zinc oxide provides broad, dependable UV defence and sits on the surface of the skin rather than absorbing in.
The challenge with mineral sunscreen has never been protection.
It has been wearability.
Many mineral formulas feel thick, drying, or uncomfortable enough that people avoid using them daily. When sunscreen is unpleasant to wear, consistency breaks down.

Why UVA protection deserves more attention
UVA rays are present year-round and penetrate deeper into the skin. They contribute significantly to long-term skin damage and visible ageing.
In some regions, UVA protection is only lightly regulated. In New Zealand and Australia, it is taken far more seriously.
That difference influenced how we approached formulation from the start, with a strong focus on daily, long-term skin protection, not just preventing sunburn.
